Level 2 Award for Music Promoters

The BIIAB level 2 Award for Music Promoters is nationally recognised specially for music promoters to give them tools needed to run successful, responsible and profitable promotions!

To support candidates, BIIAB has structured the qualification into learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Safehouse Training is a recognised training provider for BIIAB who are the governing body for license retail qualifications. We are currently running courses during the daytime, evening & weekends.

The training is delivered in 10hrs as follows:

What the course covers:

  • Importance and benefits of early engagement with stakeholders.
  • Project management tools and techniques.
  • Financial management.
  • Marketing/Promotional mix.
  • Risk assessment.
  • Environmental impacts/waste management.
  • Management of noise.
  • Transport management.
  • Licensing Act 2003.
  • Door policy.
  • Evaluation of a promotion.

This qualification provides good practice guidance and legal information to music promoters; it also promotes responsibility and raises standards within the industry. It’s perfect for current music promoters, anyone wanting to become a music promoter or licence holders who wish to become a live music venue.

The assessment is a 35 multiple choice questions to be answered within a 40 minute exam. Candidates who successfully pass will gain a nationally recognized qualification worth two credits at level 2.
